The Science

Good health starts in the gut. Over 100 trillion microbes help the body to digest, break down, and extract energy from food. There are countless species of bacteria and fungus that comprise the microbiome. Certain "bad" microbes prefer sugar and high carbohydrate diets. Once fed diets high in carbohydrates, sugar, and alcohol, these "bad" microbes can begin to cause problems by releasing metabolites into the body that can trigger an immune response. Saccharomyces Boulardii is a strain of yeast that can be beneficial in removing the competition in the gut. This stomach acid-resistant strain of yeast travels through the gut to the intestines where it begins to outcompete unwanted microbes.

The microbes in our gut are encapsulated by a mucus layer of material called a biofilm. In order to address the balance of yeast and bacteria inside your gut, the biofilm disruptor utilizes enzymes to help dissolve and remove biofilms. Once unwanted microbes have been removed, beneficial microbes like Lactobacillus acidophilus are introduced.

L acidophilus produces acids that inhibit the colonization of undesirable yeast and bacteria in the body as well as an enzyme called lactase which aids in the digestion of dairy. Finally, beneficial microbes are introduced that can improve digestion quality and improve gut health.
